Fee Correction
If a county needs to make a correction on a fee applied to a home ownership change (e.g., if the fee should have been waived, but was not):
1) Send an e-mail to sherry.d.mitchell@state.or.us with the home ID number and an explanation of why the fee should be removed.
2) After review, the E-mail will be forwarded to BCD fiscal with a recommendation that the fee be removed.
3) BCD fiscal will respond to the e-mail confirming that the fee has been removed.
4) An e-mail confirmation is forwarded to the person requesting the correction.
These requests should be sent as soon as possible after the oversight is discovered. If the fee is not removed before the billing statement issues on the first of the following month, the fee will show on the billing statement and credited following the process listed above.
